In celebration of our 35th Anniversary Season, JSSB offers five specialty workshops with faculty and guest artists. TRIPLE THREAT! Straight from Broadway in New York City, Robin Irwin and Erick Buckley teach a theater workshop with drama, voice, dance and a wealth of information. DANCING INJURY FREE – Sondra Karman, former Principal Dancer with Nevada Ballet Theater and Lyric Opera Ballet of Chicago, teaches ways to study, train and perform injury free. BACK TO SPEED – Dancers prepare their bodies for an injury free return to the regular Fall dance schedule. CONTEMPORARY DANCE INTENSIVE – Altin Naska, an internationally known award-winning choreographer, dancer, & master teacher, creates a new work with dancers incorporating tasks and exercises in structure and improvisation while exploring various styles of dance. VALERY LANTRATOV INTENSIVE – Valery Lantratov, Artistic Director of the Russian National Ballet Foundation, returns to work intensively with Levels A and B with a daily ballet, pointe and character or partnering class.
